CompositesNL and Composites United (CU) are organising a two-day congress at the CFK Nord Research Center in Stade, Germany. This is the second Composites Innovation Event organised by the two associations; the first edition was in the Netherlands.
The event will focus on advanced thermoplastic composite solutions for applications in aerospace, a particular strength of the CompositesNL network and the lightweight design ecosystem in Stade. The programme features presentations as well as facility tours of players in the composites ecosystem in Stade (CTC, DLR, Fraunhofer IFAM). A highlight will be a tour of the Airbus plant in Stade on the second day, where the largest flying CFRP part ꟷ the upper wing cover of the A350 ꟷ is manufactured.
An evening event at the end of the first day will offer lots of time for networking.
